Construction to begin on the world's longest course
Construction of the worlds longest golf course, unfolding over 1365km of the Eyre Highway in Western and South Australia with an average distance of 80km between holes, is scheduled to begin in July 08. The Nullarbor Links project will see 18 holes built at towns or roadhouses along the Eyre Highway, one of Australia's classic routes, which crosses the Australian outback. Travellers will be able to buy an official ball and scorecard at either the first or 18th holes, and scorecards will be stamped after each hole is completed.

Nepal launches national golf tour
The Nepal Professional Golfers Association has signed an agreement with Surya Nepal to set up a national golf tour and organise tournaments in Nepal , with the aim of promoting Nepali professional golfing talent. With regular tournaments and exposure, Nepali players will hopefully be able to make their mark in international golf, and the tour is a fresh initiative to develop the game and improve the livelihoods of local professional golfers. All professional golf events to be played in Nepal will now be part of the Surya Nepal Golf Tour. So far 6 premier professional events have already signed up for the tour.
