On this tour you will have the chance to play golf in some of the most spectacular settings imaginable. In Kathmandu the group will play at the Gokarna Forest Resort, one of the finest courses in South Asia. With snow-capped Himalayan peaks in the distance, this course has a beautiful setting in a 470 acre forest that was once the private hunting grounds of Nepalese Kings. The 18 hole layout is tough but fair and should offer the consistent golfer the chance of a decent score.
You can also look forward to a round at the delightful Royal Nepal Golf Club which has the honour of being the oldest course in the Kingdom of Nepal, having been founded in 1917. This course enjoys a panoramic view of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal and other majestic mountains of the Himalayas. This 9 hole layout offers a stern challenge, but should reward the straight hitter.
The Himalayan Golf Club in Pokhara is a real highlight of the tour with its unique setting. This remarkable course is located in a river canyon set against the backdrop of the Annapurna mountains. The first few holes are set on a plateau but the third hole sweeps down into the canyon and the remaining holes meander through the natural landscape carved out by the Bijaypur river. You will also have the chance to spot various local wildlife during the round. Though only 9 holes, after playing this awesome course you are unlikely to leave disappointed.
After leaving Nepal and touching down in Bhutan the group will head to the Royal Thimpu Golf Club , which is possibly the most remote golf course in the world. Beautifully situated above the Trashi Chhoe Dzong with the snow-capped Himalayan peaks in the distance, this is a chance to play a course rarely visited by foreigners.
