Can non-golfers come on the tours?
Non-golfers are perfectly welcome to join our tours, our itineraries involve plenty of activities that are not golf related and can be enjoyed by anybody. We will be happy to arrange for additional activities for any non-golfing guests while the rest of the group are out on the various courses that we will visit.

I don't live in the UK , can I still book a place on a tour?
Though we are based in the UK , we are more than happy to welcome people from other countries on our tours. You can either join the rest of the group in London at the start of the tour, or fly direct to our initial destination and meet there. Simply get in touch and let us know which tour you would like to go on and we will get back to you promptly with costs.

What is your cancellation policy?
Unfortunately, we realise that sometimes our guests may have to cancel their trip due to unforeseen circumstances. If this is the case we require notice in writing as soon as possible. If we receive notice of cancellation more than two months prior to departure then your deposit is forfeited. Less than two months prior to departure and a proportion of the full tour cost which you will have paid will be lost too. Please see our booking conditions HERE for further information.

We realise that this may seem unfair but unfortunately the nature of our industry is that suppliers have to be paid in advance. This means that proportions of your tour payment may well have already been paid to various suppliers by the time we receive notice of cancellation. Rest assured that if it is possible to refund you any additional money we shall.

It may be wise to investigate purchasing travel insurance that covers you for cancellation so that you can claim back any money lost.

Do I require travel insurance?
Absolutely. Remote Golf Travel highly recommends that you purchase appropriate travel insurance prior to departure. Insurance that covers golf travel will be beneficial as this provides cover for damage of theft of equipment. As detailed already, if possible your insurance should cover you for cancellation, as well as the usual medical, theft and loss coverage. If you are having trouble selecting the right policy please do not hesitate to contact us and we will he happy to offer assistance.

Will altitude sickness be a problem?
Some of the areas we visit on our tours are at high altitudes which mean that altitude sickness may be a concern due to the lower amount of oxygen in the air. Most problems associated with altitude can usually be avoided with proper care, and by allowing plenty of time for acclimatisation during our stay altitude sickness should not be an issue. If you are concerned we recommend that you consult with your doctor, especially if you have any existing medical conditions.

Will there be opportunity for me to do my own thing?
You can rest assured that there will be plenty of time during our tours for you to do things on your own if you wish. We know that people do not all want to be continually herded from one place to another so leave plenty opportunity for time away from the group if required.

What is the baggage allowance on flights?
The baggage allowance on all flights is 20KG. Please bear in mind that this will include your golf clubs too when planning what to bring. Any excess baggage charges must be paid by you and are not included in the tour cost.

Is tipping included in the price of the tour?
No, any gratuities are at our guest's discretion and are not included in the cost of the tour. If you feel that you the service provided by a local guide, driver or a caddy deserves a tip then please offer one as we know that they are always appreciated.
